Chimera

2020

Chimera is a dance and sound-based performance installation by Jesse Factor and Scott Andrew. It premiered at the Bloomfield Garden Club which is organized by Tina Dillman, and was supported in-part by Black Cube Nomadic Art Museum. This work explores themes from Donna Haraway’s Cyborg Manifesto and pulls inspiration from the work of Loie Fuller.
Another related iteration of the project included a collage video experiment in response to the theme In The Blood which was a prompt that Scott Andrew and the Activated Anamorphs worked with virtually during a visiting artist workshop and talk with Machine Dazzle in the COVID lockdown period.

This was a video sketch that was streamed live in collaboration with the Activated Anamorphs virtual performance.
